Rolf von Ronsberg is a beautiful 5 year old long haired German Shepherd (mix?). Rolf was fostered for a month by kind people who report that he is friendly with people and other dogs, but isn't for cats and chickens. Always happy to see them, he would come and rest his head on their arms for some nice head scratches. He enjoys car rides and loves water. At the rescue, Rolf captures hearts with his gentle demeanor, and is a joy to walk on leash. His medium-energy level makes him an ideal companion for those who enjoy exploring new places.His curiosity leads him to new discoveries, while walking gracefully in a heel position. He meets other dogs well but doesn’t show much interest in them, preferring to walk alongside them without much fuss. Once Rolf feels comfortable, his sweet and loving nature emerges - he enjoys the simple pleasure of burying his head in your arms while being petted, seeking comfort and affection. Though he’s still learning commands, he takes treats gently, like the gentleman he is. In playgroups, he is a calm and composed presence, entering comfortably and proving he is a great greeter, yet preferring the company of calm dogs over the more playful, energetic ones. Rolf will be a loving canine companion.
